In higher education institutions, students come from different geographies. They all have acquired same level of education before applying for higher degrees programmes; undergraduate/graduate or any other diploma or degree. Also higher education offers variety of programs. Hence institutions want to make sure that they are giving admission to the right students who would be able to complete the coursework and further get success in career. This is where institutes need to understand primarily two things:
1. The knowledge a students have acquired throughout past years of studies and
2. Whether he/she would be able to apply the the knowledge acquired in practice.
